We're excited to share this coffee through the work Unblended has been doing in Colombia to invest in the next generation of coffee producers! Unblended's mission is to make coffee farming an exciting and viable path for young people in Colombia through mentorship, training, and helping producers build their own brands in international markets.

The lot, in particular, is a platform for education and experimentation for young producers that results in a consistently fruit-forward coffee as various small lots are combined with Sebastian Ramirez's Red Fruit Co-ferment for stability and consistency in flavor. 

We believe in the work that Unblended is doing for new and young coffee producers in Colombia, and are honored to have this coffee as a part of our core lineup.

Flavor

In aroma, there's a clear strawberries and cream note that comes through, but in taste is actually much more aligned with classic naturally processed coffees from Colombia that's lively and more akin to chocolate-covered fruit. There is the slightest hint of funk that makes this coffee really pop, but we found that aiming for lower extractions really cleans up the cup and amps up the juiciness.
