This Geisha Washed is exceptionally floral and delicate—truly one of our favorites! Marlon’s approach is thoughtful yet intentionally simple, focusing on letting the coffee express the natural character of the variety rather than overcomplicating the process. The beans undergo a careful, staged fermentation designed to highlight their inherent sweetness and florality. First, the cherries are fermented for two days, allowing the sugars and flavors from the fruit to begin developing. After depulping, the beans continue to ferment under controlled conditions, for another two days, ensuring a balanced and consistent flavor profile. The result is a coffee that captures the essence of Geisha: a cup bursting with floral aromatics, nuanced sweetness, and delicate fruit notes. Each sip reveals layers of complexity while remaining elegant and approachable—a true reflection of Marlon’s meticulous care and dedication to bringing out the best in this exceptional variety.

Marlon Bolaños
Marlon grew up knowing coffee as his family’s livelihood, but it wasn’t until a barismo course at 17 that he began to see its deeper potential. What started as curiosity became commitment: planting differentiated varieties, refining fermentation through trial and error, and building Three Coffee Farmers alongside his two brothers. From the spring water filtered through rock on his farm — now known among competitors as “champions’ water” — to his dream of producing a winning auction lot, Marlon represents a new generation of producers shaping their future with intention, patience, and vision.
The Three Coffee Farmers
Marlon's farm is a generational piece of land that together with his brothers, they want to create an speciality hub in Acevedo, Huila
