This coffee was created to support the process of building consistency and increasing volume in Inzá, bringing together the best attributes of two talented producers — Alejandro Ariza and Andrés Martínez. Their coffees combine the region’s hallmark sweetness and florality, resulting in a balanced and expressive cup designed to earn a place on our roasters’ menu and highlight Inzá’s distinctive profile. Beyond its flavor, this lot was developed with the purpose of supporting the growth of both producers’ brands and encouraging newer coffee growers from the region who are working to refine their quality and reach international markets. Both coffees were processed as washed lots, ensuring a clean and transparent expression of the terroir.

How this coffee was produced

This is a collaborative lot that combines washed coffees from Inza and the caturra floral from Andres Martinez

Introduction

The goal of this lot is to purchase what the producer is currently harvesting on their farm, allowing us to understand their flavor profile while also building regional volume. This creates greater opportunities for the producer to offer a single-origin lot in the future.

Cupping and Selection

We cup together the lots from Inza and then add Catura Floral from Andres Martinez to make it a more consistent profile

Scaling

Once a producer lot is approved and shows market potential, we scale production and offer it as a single-origin product for our customers.

The Young Producer Program supports small farmers in experimenting with fermentation techniques and elevating quality standards. This Inzá lot represents the collaborative work of Alejandro Ariza and Andrés Martínez, two producers from Cauca, who share a vision of building consistency while highlighting the region’s finest attributes—its signature florality and sweetness in the cup.
