Luis comes from a coffee-growing family from Vereda La Loma, a lower-elevation area of Urrao. He has always been dedicated to working on the farm and is known for being very thoughtful and eager to learn. This region experienced many years of violence, so it is truly admirable that people like Luis and his family chose to stay and continue working the land.

For the past three years, Luis has been fully dedicated to coffee farming. He has learned agriculture in an empirical way, guided by the knowledge passed down through his family and his own curiosity to better understand the land and the crops he grows. A few years ago, he was able to build his own house and purchase his own plots of land, an important milestone in his journey as a producer. He currently lives with his parents.

His dream is to make a full living from coffee. Today, he has the opportunity to work his land every day and continue growing as a coffee producer.
