The Development Lot is about giving producers the space to experiment. It is a lot dedicated to trying new varieties, processes, and ideas that can help producers understand what is possible on their farms and continue developing their coffees.

A big part of the project is creating a faster feedback loop between producers and roasters. Instead of experimenting on their own and waiting to see if there is a market for the coffee, producers can bring their ideas to us, we work together to develop them, and roasters can taste and give feedback along the way.

The Development Lot is made up of these small experiments, brought together into one larger lot. Some will become future coffees, some will change along the way, and others might simply teach us something new. The goal is to make experimentation easier, reduce the risk for producers, and create a space where producers and roasters can learn from each other.
